  A horse and her unborn foal have died after being subjected to a vicious attack. The owners of the 19-year-old chestnut mare found her surrounded by blood at a field in Clay Lane, Gainsborough. At the time it was thought she was starting to foal and a vet was called. After being examined by the vet it was found the mare had been attacked and had lost a lot of blood.
